Can Essiac Tea Really Help Cancer?

Written by andy

A four-herb cancer fighting alternative…

Cancer is a disease that most of us fear, but the truth is that there are a number of treatments to help you deal with cancer. We’re not only talking about medicines, but also natural remedies!

Essiac tea is one of the many remedies considered “possibly effective” for treating cancer, though there is a lot you need to know about it before you take it…

What is Essiac Tea?

Essiac is a type of tea that is made by combining four different herbs into a single concoction:

  1. Burdock
  2. Slippery Elm
  3. Sheep Sorrel
  4. Indian Rhubarb

These four teas together comprise Essiac tea, a remedy that dates back to the early 1900s. Interestingly enough, the exact amounts of each herb is not important, but what matters is that the herbs are of the highest quality.

How Does it Treat Cancer?

The various components of Essiac tea make it a useful treatment for cancer:

Burdock — Burdock root is a healing herb that has been using in Ancient Chinese and Ayruvedic medicines for thousands of years, as a treatment for flus, colds, leprosy, pneumonia, throat infections, and many other ailments. It contains a special compound called arctigenin that stops tumors from growing.

Sheep Sorrel — Together with Burdock, this is the herb that helps to prevent the spread and growth of cancer. The herb is loaded with oxalic acid and Vitamin C, both of which are antioxidants that help to reduce carcinogenic activity within the body. It also helps to purify the blood, clear up skin problems, stimulates the healthy function of your nervous system, relieves ulcers, and even deal with urinary problems.

Slippery Elm — Slippery elm has been used in Native American remedies for centuries, thanks to the fact that the bark of the elm tree forms into a sort of gummy substance when it comes in contact with water. This substance helps to soften and soothe your skin when applied externally, and can have a similar effect on damaged tissue when taken orally. The bark is loaded with vitamins A, C, and K, as well as B vitamins and other important minerals.

Indian Rhubarb —  This herb is added to Essiac tea as a means of improving immune function, as well as eliminating toxins from your internal organs. It generates a chemical that acts as a gentle laxative, helping to purge your body of wastes and promote healthy elimination. It stops the growth of bacteria and yeast, and can help to reduce both inflammation and fever. It may even contain special anti-tumor properties, and serves as a mild antibiotic.

The combination of these four herbs makes Essiac tea, a tea that you can use to help you deal with your cancer.

One thing to keep in mind: Essiac tea is considered a Stage III cancer treatment. Stage III cancer means that the tumor has spread beyond its point of origin, and has infected other parts of the body. It’s an advanced stage of cancer, but not completely untreatable.

The fact that Essiac tea is a Stage III cancer treatment means that it may be effective at reducing the spread of cancer, but may not be effective if the cancer has already metastasized throughout your body. It’s not effective when used as a standalone Stage IV cancer treatment, but it can be a useful addition to any Stage IV treatments you are undergoing.
