So I’ve been a little below on my Celeb Spotting because, well it was Fashion Week so I was kind of busy. Do you ever feel it’s almost a little awkward when two really, really, really unbelievably good looking people get married? Isn’t it just a little too much? No? Well okay then…
Anyway, Martha Stewart’s team worked with the gorgeous couple and planner Tara Guérard of Soiree in Charleston, S.C, to create an “intimate, personalized party” for immediate and extended family “in a rustic barn,” according to Martha Stewart Weddings. “From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration,” according to the magazine, which promises more details in its December issue. The ceremony took place at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Sunday just outside of Charleston. “Ryan, who has been a long-time fan of Charleston, chose to mark this special occasion in one of his favorite towns,” according to the magazine.
Lively wore a one-of-a-kind Marchesa couture bridal ball gown with a hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery. Her bridesmaids wore blush silk chiffon Marchesa gowns with crystal embroidered detail. The women all wore shoes from Christian Louboutin.The groom and groomsmen donned Burberry suits with custom leather suspenders designed by Ryan’s friend Christopher Bailey. The couple exchanged rings by Lorraine Schwartz.
The wedding, first reported by PEOPLE, also had a reception held in a white tent at the plantation. Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine), a good friend of the Gossip Girl star, performed three songs live for guests.
