Cold Weather Craves

Written by Bryce

It’s literally blizzarding up a storm in NYC as I write this — and yes, I did just use “blizzard” as a verb. In the name of all things wintertastical and great, my cold weather craves are sure to keep you warm:

1. Jocelyn’s Mandy Mittens. They’re fur, fingerless mittens that have the ability to transform any ho-hum coat to ultra-chic-Siberian-snow-princess. Check ’em out here.

2. A super hydrating night cream. Origins, your Plantscription is my everything. It’s super hydrating, nourishing, and makes all the skin stress of the cold, frigid days seems to disappear in just a swipe or two across my brow and cheeks. Love you, let’s be together forever. Available here.

3. A proper snack. While I’d like to devour an entire molten chocolate lava cake, my better sensibilities tell me to head for something smaller, perfectly balanced in flavor. Dana’s Bakery makes insanely good American-made macarons, The December Holiday box is $30 for 12 full size macarons (oh hey there, good deal!) and offers the gingerbread variety that is my current addiction with a cup of vanilla rooibos tea. Available here.

4. A perfectly fragrant cleansing. Cold weather itself doesn’t bring on colds, but shoddy immune systems and touching the same subway poles as a million strangers does. Washing hands several times each day is beyond imperative, especially when those hands are used for shoving fabulous macarons in one’s mouth. I’m super in love with Rituals Imagine Hand Wash. Aside from it being soap-free (as in, it won’t be terribly drying on skin), it’s fortified with fab ingredients like rice milk and available at Barney’s. How chic! Available here.
