Confused Celebrities=Pure Entertainment

So if you were living under a rock and didn’t watch MTV last night, it was quite eventful, but don’t worry..I’m here to fill you in. It was a double wammy, the live MTV Movie Awards and The Hills finale. The movie awards highlights included a performance by Eminem, followed by the presentation of the Best Male Performance. Bruno, a gay Austrian version of Borat (as far as I can tell), came flying in on a harness dressed in a white gladiator outfit with wings and a jock strap, landing upside down on Eminem, giving Em the full view of his junk. Tough bad boy rapper he is Eminem lost it and after a few fun expletives he ordered his possy to get the guy off of him then got up and stormed out of the theater..welcome back to the spotlight, America’s favorite white rapper! Besides the implied entertainment of the situation the best part for me was the reaction of the A-list crowd surrounding him. Unsure of whether the stunt had been planned or was a surprise, a pan of the crowd revealed a mix of giggles and “uh oh, Eminem is gonna beat this shit out of this freak” looks..God, I love confused celebs.

Anywho, the other part of this pop culture dream- The Hills finale, was pretty darn eventful as well. Lauren Conrad’s last appearance as a cast member of The Hills was characterized by Heidi and Spencer’s wedding (whose ridiculousness will continue on the show “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”–a trashy reality nightmare that I am counting down the minutes till–season premiere tonight at 8/7c on NBC), the arrival of Kristin Cavallari (LC’s replacement) and dramatic music as Lauren’s car pulled away from the camera for the last time. My fave part of this one was when the sound went out for the beginning of the wedding ceremony, for two reasons..one: I automatically envisioned thousands of tweens shitting their pants trying to get the sound back–priceless. two: I then envisioned MTV producers flipping on the poor little sound guy whose ass was out on the street 2 seconds after the boo boo happened. Well, all’s well that ends well and I was lovin’ it..it’s been fun LC.
