When the lovely people behind the world’s most thorough (and fun) workout asked me to try a class at the NYC Reebok Sports Club, I said “Sure, sounds good! Any special equipment or crazy shoes I need to participate?”
They simply answered, “just don’t wear makeup… it’ll run down your face when the sweat starts to pour.” No statement has ever been more accurate. Ashley and I were pleasantly surprised to find that even after just the first half of the class we could feel every single muscle being engaged in some level of blissful pain. The moves are a rhythmic combination between professional soccer skills (the creator & instructor trained Beckham’s team!) and hot Latin dance. By the end of the class you’ll be able to match your boyfriend’s soccer skills and you’ll have the hip-gyration moves to keep him pleased even if the soccer part doesn’t work out.
This insane workout is the brainchild of a man named Tadeo that you’re going to love to hate. He’s charming, fun, and inspiring in the kind of way that makes your body drip with sweat (wait, did that sound sexual?!)… but seriously, this workout was the most intense thing my abs/glutes/ass/muscles-I-can’t-describe-with-words have seen in ages.
Cuerpaso is a definite must-try if you’re short on time but need to get into sexy summer shape in a jiffy. You should avoid this class if you’re lazy and have no interest in being in good shape.
