Little did Mitt Romney know just how prolific his “binders full of women” statement would be. To be honest, the first thing I thought when I heard him say it was, “Shouldn’t he convert the binders of women over to Google Docs?”
Apparently everyone else in America was doing a lot of thinking about the phrase, too, because during the debate itself, “binders full of women” was the third most searched phrase on Google.
#bindersfullofwomen was a trending topic on Twitter.
There is now a tumblr called bindersfullofwomen.tumblr.com.
There is a Facebook page dedicated to the phrase that already has over 300,000 likes.
Apparently, binder sales on Amazon have spiked, too. I guess Romney really didn’t have to try too hard to spur the economy, did he?
