Decor Spotting: Christmas light up your life

Written by Gary

When I was a teenager and just dipping my toes into the fagtastic world of decorating there weren’t many options for lighting. Even then, growing up in a small town in the South I saw the potential in Christmas lights, and kept them up in my room year round. There is something about Christmas lights that creates an ambient effect and mood in a room that can’t really be matched from just one main source of light. Tiny points of light from many different sources create a romantic and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for getting down and dirty, or just doing yoga or meditation. These lights are inexpensive, easy to find, and very fun to experiment with, not to mention eco-friendly because they are re-usable.

So take a look at these pics, get inspired, and after this Christmas find a way to incorporate your extra lights into the normal décor of your home.
