Looking for a way to create a super-chic look in your interior without spending a butt-ton of money? Try a new color combination with plum and gray. You may think that plum and gray look dowdy, or monotone but if you choose the right shade of the color, it creates a sophistication all on its own. In my old bedroom I painted the walls a shade of eggplant so dark it was almost black. I accented this with grays, silvers, and golds and the result was a room that looked really expensive while still remaining masculine. The devil is in the details of course, so if you want to go more feminine choose silvery chrome fixtures and accessories. For a more traditional, masculine look stick with antiqued gold and gray.
