Every home should have at least one room that is dynamic and loud, with design elements that create a conversation for your guests. One interesting way to do this is with large-scale wall murals that tell a story. You can accomplish this look by painting it yourself, commissioning someone else to create it, or having large scale images printed and modge-podged to the wall. The key is to choose a random image that creates a dialogue, but isn’t so complicated that people just sit there staring at it and spilling their cocktails all over your carpet. If you are worried about the distinction, choose something simple and abstract with colors that complement, but don’t exactly match the hues of your other anchor pieces.
