Decor Spotting: Space-saving Manhattan modernist sofa

We Manhattanites are no stranger to space saving. Whether we are using our ovens and microwaves as closets or stacking chest-of-drawers on top of each other like miniature parking garages for our socks, the value of every extra inch is inherent in any buying decision we make. That is why when we come along examples of furniture optimized for living in tight squeezes we feel the need to share and celebrate our finds. This modern sofa from sofasofa may not look super comfortable, but it will hold all of the DVD’s and CD’s you refuse to let go of even though you carry all of your favorite movies and music around with you on your iphone.

It is also a great deal–paying one price for a sofa, bed, and two storage compartments (one in the back support and one under the cushions) is the ultimate bargain in double functionality. Plus it doesn’t particularly look that comfortable so it will dissuade those pesky college roommates from ever crashing on your couch.
