Its no secret that space is at a premium in New York. I had a dinner party over the holidays and had to use my bed as a dining table (my disassembled headboard made a great flat surface). Closets are a big deal in the city, because some bedrooms have them, and some don’t. If you don’t, I am sure you have thought of a myriad of different storage solutions, but what about displaying your clothes for the world to see? Assuming you are at least kind of stylish, your wardrobe could become a decorative accessory in your room if you approach it correctly. This wardrobe display was created out of PVC pipe. The different levels and shelves add some visual interest, and if you want, you can add wheels make it portable. Unless you are Jesus, or any carpenter, I don’t suggest you build this yourself. I suggest you get your boyfriend to do it, that way you have someone to blame if your shoes get crushed under your bags.
When it comes to decor, almost anything goes, but if you are working with limited space, integrating as much of your form into function is a must, as any gay will tell you.
