Decor Spotting: This floating bedroom is not a dream

Written by Gary

To me, its actually a nightmare. I can’t help but think horrible thoughts about getting crushed by my falling bedroom a la Wicked Witch of the East. I also can’t help but think that any nocturnal activities I may engage in could cause my entire bedroom to rock, or disengage and plummet to the ground below. It is an interesting idea, though.

Always trying to optimize the use of space, the designers of this floating bedroom placed it in the center of the artists studio, as the focal point to anchor the design of the room. They created a small living and lounging area underneath to effectively create two separate spaces, one on top of another. Conceptually, I feel like this design is a win. Practically, I don’t know if it works as many drunken nights have taught me never to test gravity.
