These five vacation spots are totally gay-friendly.
It doesn’t matter if you’re actually a homosexual, or just a friend to homos in general, gay-friendly vacations are ultimately better than normal vacations. If you’ve never been on a gaycation, you should know that it beats the hell out of getting dragged to boring tourist destinations and sporting events by your straight boyfriend, or posing for a million photos with your family.
You should also probably know that a gaycation is just a vacation with one or more gay people involved.
Gaycations are more fun because gay people are generally more free and adventurous, especially when they are on holiday. If you can get around the idea that you will probably get left at the bar after your friend finds someone to hook up with, a gaycation can open up a whole new world of things to do, where anything goes, as long as you always have a mimosa in hand. The one thing you don’t want to do on a gaycation is go somewhere that they openly hate gay people, so if you are considering absconding with some homos, these five places are safe for gays and straights alike.

HAWAII– Hawaiian kings in the past have been known to take young male concubines as lovers, so Hawaii is pretty well known as being progressive to the gays. I don’t need to tell you how beautiful Hawaii is, but I do want you to imagine having a picnic with some homos before jumping into a waterfall.
THAILAND– Thailand is surprising one of the most gay-friendly countries in the world, which should be more evident given the amount of ‘lady-boy’ androgynous videos on the Internet. Bangkok is obviously a favorite (for reasons that are plain), but the main reason Thailand is a great destination is that it is mostly Buddhist, and Thai Buddhists are welcoming to homos, so it’s a great place to go snorkeling on a coral reef with the gays.
RIO– Rio De Janeiro is not only home to the Olympics this year, it is also home to some really beautiful Brazilian men, and lots of gay-friendly hotels and restaurants. If all you want to do is sit on the beach and check out hot men with your besties, there is no better place for it than Rio.
CAPE TOWN– Cape Town may not immediately come to mind as gay-friendly since most of Africa isn’t, but it is home to Clifton Third, one of the best gay beaches in the world. If you add breathtaking scenery and guys with gorgeous accents on top of that, you have the recipe for a perfect gaycation.
TORONTO– As someone who has been to Toronto Pride, I can tell you that it is very welcoming to the gays. Canada is the much more progressive than the US, and pretty much everything there is gay-friendly so it’s the perfect place to have a bunch of drinks and hit the town with your homos, especially during Toronto Pride.
