Every summer I go through the same process; I start to itch for new hair, new clothes, new makeup, and an overall new look. And so far, I’ve been majorly successful at turning a new style leaf! This past week I walked out of Bumble & Bumble rocking a new variation of my short locks, I accumulated half a new wardrobe when I traded in my rejected threads at Beacon’s Closet and Buffalo Exchange, and I’ve added Diptyque’s newest unisex fragrance, “L’Eau de Tarroco” to my collection of perfumes!
Now, it’s hard for me to really like any particular scent – I find most perfumes to be too floral, too musky, too fruity, or too foody. But this cologne, designed to appeal to both sexes, is a perfect blend of most of these things. Its notes include Tarocco Orange, grapefruit, saffron, Bulgarian rose, cinnamon, ginger, cedarwood, Somali frankincense and white musk – this may seem like olfactory overload, however it actually makes for an incredibly balanced summer cologne. Beware however – a little goes a looong way;  following my first half-spritz, my roommate demanded to know why I had doused myself in cologne. One full spritz of this stuff would  surely be enough to last you an evening, which is fine by me since that can only mean that my bottle will have an extended shelf life.
I’m super excited to have made a place for this in my lovely apothecary cabinet at home, and I can’t wait to wear it on a night out again! Interested in picking some up? You can stop by one of their boutiques or you can purchase it at one of their many retailers worldwide.
