Cut your guacamole with peas. “When I make homemade guacamole, I sub half of the avocado for peas,” says lifestyle writer Aly Walansky of ALittleAlytude.com. “Mixing the peas with guac will work, color-wise and consistency (think one small can of peas for every 1/2 of a ripe avocado), and it’ll end up being half the fat! Peas are a bit sweet, generally, so if you taste the guac and it’s not feeling the balance, just spice it up a bit more (or add a pinch of salt!) to compensate!”
