Sounds peachy to me! 100 Gold, a new eco-friendly condominium development on Gold Street in Vinegar Hill is receiving a ton of buzz for it being the first green building in Vinegar Hill. Environmentally friendly highlights include radiant floor heating, energy efficient central air and heating, operable floor-to-ceiling windows to reduce utility expenses, eco-friendly paints, recycled finishing materials, water conserving fixtures, Energy Star-rated Electrolux ICON appliances including washers and dryers in each unit, and rooftop gardens with roof pavers made of 100% recycled tires. To further the green initiative, Anthony Morena, R.A., architect and principal at The REDD Group has purchased renewable energy credits and assisted in funding reforestation projects to offset the carbon emissions associated with the building’s estimated energy use for the first year.

Resident amenities include free storage units, bicycle storage, common landscaped rooftop deck, 24 hour security, virtual concierge, private terraces, and private rooftop gardens (where you have an exclusive view of the beautiful skyline day and night).

  • Wow, eco living in the US sounds pretty cool. It is wonderful that so many people are trying to become greener and more eco friendly. I am trying hard to make some life style changes. I use as many eco friendly bath and shower products I can. I also send my friends free ecards rather than paper ones. I am saving money and resources which I am really pleased with. There are lots of email greeting card sites on the internet, so you really need to see what suits you best. I also walk or cycle to work, or if I really need to use transport I use the bus. Does anyone else have any other ideas, I always love to learn more ideas.
