Elephant rock.

There is a natural rock formation off the coast of Iceland shaped like Dumbo.

Natural phenomena never cease to amaze me. It doesn’t matter whether we are finding shapes of Jesus burned into toast, or entire rock formations that look like animals, I have to believe that someone out there, somewhere has a sense of humor and is just playing with our delicate human sensibilities.

Such is the case with this crazy rock that is shaped like an elephant. Located on the island of Heimaey, near Iceland, hundreds of years of erosion have turned the cliff-face into something resembling an elephant, even down to the basalt rock texture that matches elephant skin, and my knees during the ashy winter months.
