Fascination of the Day: Convertible Dresses

This dress is more convertible than you think.

I love a good fashion challenge, whether big or small. I was recently asked to play around with the new Avon Convertible Dress to see if I could make it work in a high-fashion way, since it’s already mega-popular in a normal life kind of way. The dress is ordinarily a simple convertible number: tie it around the neck as a halter, make it an off the shoulder statement, or as a creative cowlneck. The fabric is some kind of stretchy summery material that made me think, “Darling, this is a beach cover.” So, in the middle of winter I found the coolest Natalie B Coleman swimsuit in the world, some glam snakeskin heels, and a bunch of totally over-the-top Alberto Juan jewelry for an impromptu office photo shoot. Here’s the result:
