Flippy Floppys

I love summer. Seriously, I love everything about it. Just think about it..tank tops, beachin’ it up, being all tan–everything about summer makes me happy. But the number one thing I love about summer..the flippy floppys! And have I got some fun flippy floppys for you wonderful people. Little Miss Matched is the cutest brand of flops, for adults but also if you’ve got any little kiddies around they’ve also got really cute kids stuff. The fun colors and funky-ness just scream summer to me so I had to pick up a pair.

Now once you’ve found your fave summer pair of flops you gotta get a pedi, because you don’t want to be showing off ugly toes! My suggestion is to get a bright color so that even when you aren’t digging those toes into the sand at least you can see a tropical color. My new favorite is Barielle‘s Elated shade. It’s a nice and bright almost coral color that looks great on! Once you’ve given yourself a nice pedi I highlyyyy recommend using the Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender, its a quick drying top coat that I have fallen head over heels for. It finishes off your nails with a really nice shine and my manicure or pedicure actually does last longer when I use it. This top coat is also really great because it has a UV absorber that prevents dark colors from fading and light colors from turning yellow in the sun..really great especially if you are going on vacation. As a former lifeguard, I probably would have killed to have had this manicure extender amazingness last summer.

So my only possible tiff I could have with my favorite season, is perhaps the humidity. But I blame some of that hatred on genes. My naturally curly hair does not play well with summer humidity. But I refuse to let it damper my relationship with summer, I just spray up my hair with some Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold hairspray (available at www.target.com) and get on my way. The smell is yummy but not overbearing and it maintains the frizz without making your hair nasty and stiff.
