In a city where everyone is too worried about their own bullshit to lend a helping hand, Mark Bustos is making a difference by not only touching and interacting, but giving free haircuts to the homeless.
His weekend escapades take place on Sundays, his only day off from the upscale salon where he works. He takes on up to 6 people every week, and Instagrams the photos. He approaches the homeless people by saying “I want to do something nice for you today” then grooms them and offers them food.

Mark’s campaign to help the homeless look less like extras on The Croods is super-inspiring. It proves that no matter what your specialty is, you can find a way to give back, even in a place like New York where we pretend we are listening to music to avoid interacting with anyone, especially the homeless.
