Golden Girls Were Supposed to Have a Gay Houseboy

The Golden Girls: simply the best show of ever. Did you know there was originally a gay houseboy in the series?

Coco, the gay houseboy played by actor Charles Levin, appeared in the show’s pilot, but producers thought there were too many characters and his wasn’t essential. Now, the show was basically flawless (still), but literally could only have been made better by the addition of a gay man. Actually, that goes for every life scenario, but especially this one. In even more fantastic news, Charles Levin’s gay character’s name was “Coco.” You guys, COCO. I can’t. It literally could’ve changed the world on a scale even Ellen couldn’t dream of.
