Gia Coppola and James Franco’s film “Palo Alto”

Gia Coppola, yes niece of Sofia and grand-daughter of Francis Ford, has just released Palo Alto. A film inspired by the short stories of James Franco. If you read the book, you know that the movie will include teenagers experiencing the most difficult years of their lives: high school.

The movie revolves around a bunch of teenage students from Palo Alto, a middle-class suburb in Northern California. Like most American high schoolers, they are bored and spend much of their time cruising around and looking for alcohol, drugs and sex.

The film stars Emma Roberts, Jack Kilmer, the son of Val Kilmer, who also has a cameo in the film. Although the film is still seeking U.S. distribution, you can watch the trailer here.
