Let Your Kitchen Make You Skinnier

Written by Bryce

It’s time to get back on the healthy diet bandwagon.  The Christmas parties are over, and you’re out of excuses.  So while you do your best to get to the gym and whittle your waist away, here are some easy-peasy things you can keep in your kitchen that’ll make your calorie restriction that much easier. #nice!

1. OXO Fat Separator.  This cute little measuring cup does more than measure your sauces- it’s got a built in fat straining device!  So go ahead and poor all those turkey drippings in, it’ll strain the fat right out and you’ll get to keep all the flavor! $14.95 at Crate and Barrel

2. Oil Mister.  Let’s face it, you need a little fat to get things going in your skillet, but probably not that 3 or 4 tablespoons that you’re used to pouring from your EVOO bottle. Each tablespoon of fat, even if it’s healthy fat like olive oil, still is jam packed with calories.  Using an oil mister helps you lightly mist your food with just enough fat to help sear in flavor and avoid sticking to the pan while keeping you in your skinny jeans. $15 from Williams Sonoma.
