Houseboats are the ultimate mobile home, but since the house is on the water, nobody can ever call you trailer trash.
I don’t know if you know this about me, but for the first 3 years of my life, I lived on a boat. Granted it was a shrimp boat docked in a shitty little marina in North Florida, but the feeling of being out on open water has never left me, and now that living on houseboats has become chic, I might just have to return to my old ways.
With modular design becoming more and more prevalent, houseboats have become ‘a thing’ again, since they are generally smaller and easier to maintain than a normal house. Just in case the photo above wasn’t enough to convince you though, here are five more reasons you should live on a houseboat.
