Looking For A Chandelier? Think Outside The Box

Written by Vivianne

‘The Bride’ tampon chandelier was created by Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos out of 14,000 shiny, wrapped tampons.

Redecorating your dining room? Instead of going for the classic swarovsky chandelier, why don’t you outside the box (literally!)?

First introduced in 2005 during the Venice Biennale, this interesting piece of engineering (or art? – not sure) was created by Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos out of 14,000 OB tampons, steel wire and cotton thread. On an super random note, it is titled ‘The Bride.’

Imagine what would happen if sprinklers went off…
