We’ve been talking a lot lately about fitness in fashion and the athletic wear trend. As you know, fashion has been a huge fan of collaborations (i.e. Alexander Wang for H&M) and it’s no surprised that Mary Katrantzou will soon collaborate with Adidas.

Katrantzou will join the ranks of Topshop, Pharrell, Raf Simmons and Stella McCartney. It’s no surprise as to why Adidas has tapped the printed fashion house to design a collaboration of shoes and an apparel line. She has quite the following in the fashion world — her zany and exciting prints breathe a new life into a rather bleak world. She’s always colorful and you can always expect something new from the designer when she shows during London Fashion Week.
“I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market,” said Katrantzou. The athletic apparel industry has seen quite the boom as fashion has stopped picking up drug habits and started picking up fitness habits. The collection is slated to launch in Novemeber and we’ll keep you posted on just about anything you need to know!
