These three designers have mastered the men’s market, so they’re trying their hands in women’s fashion.
When it comes to being a designer, there are many different skill sets involved. For example, designing for men is completely different than designing for women. Luckily, the fashion industry is more than happy to welcome new talent and failures (i.e. Kanye West’s many attempts) but there are a few that can make it to the finish line with some amazing product.
The bag pictured above is the first foray into women’s accessories from menswear favorites, WANT Les Essentiels De La Vie. The boys over at WANT have made their men’s bags quite the accessories leader in the world of menswear. From power players in men’s fashion to the boys of Wall Street, they’ve all been seen carrying one of their signature O’Hare totes and now they’ve made their way into the world of women’s accessories.
“We designed this collection for strong women,” said designer Bryon Peart in a press release. The range of bags, with everything under $1,500, is designed for the modern woman in mind. The colors of the bags are timeless and with the reasonable prices, the bags will take you through the seasons. I had a chance to see the bags yesterday and they’re really in-line with the WANT aesthetic. The bags are light-weight, feminine and most-of-all creative.
The bags have just launched exclusively at Barneys New York.
