Michael Chase an artist from Spokane, Washington uses color, composition, and texture to highlight the subject of impermanence. “I’ve developed a destructive style of editing that involves heavy image distortion, layering, and digital manipulation” he explains. He photographs macro to reiterate the imminent nature and immediacy of separation.
His process is a constantly evolving experiment that allows self expression. “The aptitude of my work points directly towards the total degradation of the very image itself in both clarity and importance as time erodes and attention blends into history.”
