The term “mouth orgasm” is basically the only reasonable way to describe the sensation one experiences from biting into Sucre’s handmade chocolate confections.
It should be noted that I consider myself to be an expert on all things sweet, and the 55 lbs I gained from my pregnancy was actually about 47 lbs of chocolate and 8 lbs of baby… You can imagine how much chocolate I had to consume to get to that point. When I was introduced to Sucre’s fleur-di-lis-shaped Meuniere chocolate, I just about died and went to diabetic heaven. (I’m not diabetic, but if I lived anywhere near the Sucre store in New Orleans I certainly would be)
If you’re not familiar with brown butter, it’s basically the product of “cooking” butter so the flavors caramelize and deepen to a rich and divine level that’s usually reserved for savory dishes. If you consider yourself a chocaholic, this is definitely a must-try.
The gift pack sample also has flavors like Magnolia and Avery, both are standouts and hard to match at even the finest NYC chocolate shops. Prices start at just $12, so it’s an accessible and thoughtful gift.
I love Sucre! I also live dangerously close to the store…

Quick question: Were you given these chocolates to review or did you buy them? If they were comp’d you really should disclose that fact as I am sure you are familiar with the new FTC rules regarding bloggers and disclosure. Feel free to hit me up if you have questions…
and we should talk anyway
