New York I love you, but you’re bringing me down. It is almost a year ago to date that the iconic New York Dance-Rock Band LCD Soundsystem played their final farewell show at Madison Square Garden. They closed the show with none other, than this classic ballad to their hometown. This song is a modern day homage to this grand city, similar to Frank Sinatra’s classic New York, New York. Combining all his feelings, he expresses his love, admiration, confusion, and pain. Nonetheless, this songs reflects how I believe we all feel about this town. There are times when we feel lonely, fearful, and angry that the city has turned on us. But we are also so in love, inspired, and in awe of our surroundings. The luxury, the history, the glamor. It is easy to see without looking to far that this is the greatest city in the world.
