In an effort to promote sunscreen awareness, Nivea built a robotic seagull that defecates SPF.
As a brown person hailing from Florida, I know better than most about the importance of sunscreen. As I get older and my skin starts to take on the texture of a dried up old leather Coach bag, I wish I had been a bit more diligent about it in my youth. Nivea knows this apparently, and in a bid to educate children about how important it is to protect your skin, they have built a sunscreen-crapping robo-bird.
The campaign is called “Care from the Air” and it was submitted to the Cannes Lions jury.

Obviously nobody actually wants a robotic seagull shitting anything on them, so don’t expect to see it on a beach near you. Still, it is a great promotion and an interesting way to spread awareness about skincare.
