Alongside Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC is a lesser-known series of runway shows and fashion events called “NOLCHA.” Nolcha features lesser funded, more indie-style designers that band together to present their collections to the masses. It’s a blend of a sort of creative wanderlust combined with a casual “f*ck off” to the big time funds MBFW.
My fave looks this time around were by Dany Tabet, an up and coming haute couture designer with an outstanding evening wear collection. The looks were timeless, elegant, detailed, and accented by equally as gorgeous hair designed by the team at RUSK. I loved the versatility of the hair- easily worn with flowing gowns or daytime denim by parting hair in the center and gently sweeping back to the nape of the neck.
