For those of you that are still pining over the ombre tights peaking out from under the floaty frocks of Anna Sui and Christian Lacroix but can’t seem to rationalize the super trendy splurge – you’re in luck!
(Sidenote: Although, I did try the DIY version from Fashionista, all I came out with was tie-dyed hands and mismatched stockings.)
While stocking up on holiday treats, I happened to stumble upon a pleasant suprise at my local Target. A series of ombre tights – in gray to black, melon to magenta, and another mystery colour that was out of stock (I’m hoping they’re navy to violet!) – were in the hoisery section, along with cheap goodies like over the knee stockings in flirty colours and pattered tights for under $10.
I decided to go with the melon to magenta – for $5.99, why not go wild?
The real-life outcome?: shockingly vibrant colours and thick silky smooth texture, with a wide waistband. as for quality? Save your nails from dye and drama, these are actually a steal and a must-have for sprucing up last year’s little black dress for the cocktail party season.
