Rachel Roy just unveiled her Resort 2011 collection. The trés chic and vivid collection is inspired by the graphic works of Cuban avant-garde painter Amelia Peláez. Rachel explains, “I thought about what she would have worn during the mid-twentieth century to be taken seriously. And striking the right balance between femininity and masculinity is something that women still struggle with today.” This is totally my lust-worthy vacay wardrobe.
The pieces in the collection feature many Menswear elements, in the form of bright orange silk palazzo pants and high-waisted flared-leg trousers. Ladylike silhouettes include A-line dresses and skirts using unique treatments, and a stunning orange gown sure to grace the bodies of fashion’s A-list during awards season.
