Yum Alert: Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cake

Thanksgiving’s just around the corner, so it’s about time to start looking for thanksgiving dessert ideas. Choosing what to make or bring to thanksgiving dinner is almost as hard as choosing what to wear. You want to impress with your cooking skills, but you don’t want to seem like a showoff either. Ingredients

Cake:
2 Cups sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup vegetable or canola oil
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon white vinegar
1 Cup buttermilk
1/2 oz. Red food coloring
2 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon baking soda
3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Glaze:
3/4 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
1 – 4 Tablespoons milk, as needed
