My balls get in the way sometimes. Once in a while, if I am walking a lot (perhaps at a gay pride parade or something similar) they ache like someone twisted them into a knot. Other times, they hang out of my swimsuit, which is only a problem if I’m not at the beach on Fire Island. Testicles can definitely be a nuisance, but I would never cut them off, especially for a silly reason like being able to communicate with divine spirits.

The ‘Guru of Bling’ is an Indian Spiritual leader who convinced 400 men that if they removed their testicles, they could communicate directly with God. Also known as Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the cult leader has over 50 million followers world-wide and is worth an estimated 50 million.

According to reports, followers claimed to fear for their lives if they spoke out against him or the procedures.

Say what you will about him, but India is really over-populated as it is. If someone has figured out a way to slow that down by promising eternal happiness in the afterlife, I say more power to him, but as a personal choice, I would rather burn in Hell for eternity than cut my own balls off.
