Renovated Camper Gives French Country Vibes

renovated camper, french countryside and southern belle design choices for this RV

This is the most gorgeous renovated camper we’ve ever seen.

Grab the vintage cast iron skillets, your fave Dolly Parton songs and your list of New Orleans souvenirs that you’ve been waiting to pick up. This brilliantly-renovated camper is serving major French-country-meets-deep-south vibes and we’re loving it.

“This RV might not technically be a home, but I tried as hard as I could to make it feel like one,” writes Tilly Dixon, a Facebook user who recently showed off her gorgeously renovated camper with all the trimmings of a high-end home.

“This camper was inspired by Southern Charm and French country design. Growing up in the South, I have always loved haint blue ceilings so I thought, why not put it in an RV? Also, checkered flooring is just so timeless, that had to be thrown into the mix as well.”

If you’re not already familiar with the southern tradition of blue ceilings, Haint blue is a collection of pale shades of soft blue-green. These paint hues have traditionally been used to paint porch ceilings across the Southern United States.

The kitchen is a total treat, even if it’s tiny. Frilly light fixtures, soft white cabinetry, gold fixtures and a glass tile backsplash tie the compact space together.

Every inch of this camper is doused in feminine, classic frills that are guaranteed to impress even the pickiest travelers who typically swear off RV parks.

Just look at the sofas! The armchairs! The bedding!

It’s all so swoon-worthy and expertly curated down to the coastal-chic sofas and French-inspired velvet armchairs that look like they were plucked out of a plantation-era home. This renovated camper is a design enthusiast’s dream come true.

As if all that wasn’t enough, the on-board bathroom is just as charming. There’s an ornate vintage, gilded mirror hung above a basin-style sink. The cabinetry is textured and painted in an eye-pleasing classic eggshell shade that promises decades of in-style glam.

The camper offers a beautiful dose of respite anywhere, whether it’s Dixon’s backyard or far-off adventures to see the northern lights New York has to offer and the glamorous nearby yurt house offerings.
