You know that you have to go food shopping when you keep opening your refrigerator and by the 5th time there is still nothing to eat which causes a half hour of unnecessary pacing around your apartment. We all have the extra little things in the fridge and freezer that we are sick of eating or do not go well together, like mustard and celery, cheddar cheese and apples, salsa and milk, not nearly anything that I am craving. But what if the refrigerator helped you make meals? Weird right? Well its 2010 and yes, there is a Smart Fridge.
A control panel on the outside of the fridge keeps inventory of everything inside, once the items are finished in the fridge, they are deleted, so it uses this information to come up with recipe suggestions, and can even deliver step-by-step spoken directions to guide you through the cooking process.
The problem for me is that I am always busy, I know that I am not going to spend the time to manually enter each item I bought, and I KNOW that I will forget to delete the item after it is finished.
Is this s good idea? There must be another way to let the “Smart Fridge†know what exactly is inside. Technology is taking overrrrrrr!
