Spring Fashion Tweaks To Last Through Summer

Written by Bryce

Spring is officially here (well, not so much if you’re sitting in the middle of Manhattan like I am right now… but it’s around the corner). Transitioning your wardrobe from last month’s oxblood to this month’s sunny cheer is about simple palates, accessories with pops of color (not entire outfits, thank you very much!), and generally just smiling a lot. By the way, did you know a smile is considered a woman’s best accessory by most men?

1. Start with a pale, lightweight sweater. This stark white sweater by Karen Kane is fun layered over a tank for Spring or with short shorts and a bikini when heading to the beach come July. The fringe is fun, and you’ll be able to throw a worn denim vest over this with colorful pants for an “I’m cooler than I let on” look.

2. Go light on the makeup. Think blush (love this Jane Iredale one), a few coats of clumpless mascara, a lip tint, and you’re off to the races!

3. Structured wedges. I love these gray leather wedges by Tsubo because you can easily wear them styled DOWN with a fringey sweater or glammed up with a LBD, a statement necklace, and some wildly magenta lipstick.

4. Meaningful, colorful jewels. Keep your clothes relatively simple, but amp your look up with bright, fun accessories like these bracelets by Budha Girl. Bonus: they have a meaningul, spiritual story behind every piece.
