Springtime is just about my favorite season, and not just because it’s birthday season. The chilly air starts to taper off, and there’s the faint smell of hope (or maybe that’s cherry blossoms?) drifting through the thick, New York atmosphere. And something about it inspires me to get off my Winter tush, get moving, and infuse some activity back into my muscles. Just before March each year I manage to go on an activewear collection spree, and I’m particularly excited about what I’ve rounded up this year.
I was beyond thrilled to try Eddie Bauer’s new Microtherm vest. It’s basically the thinnest down vest I’ve ever seen, it’s available in bright colors, and keeps my mid-section insanely warm (I’m wearing it right now in 31 degree Connecticut weather without freezing to death). And if, we recall, all things 90’s are cool again… Tevas, tapered jeans, and obviously Eddie Bauer.
Speaking of bright colors and Tevas, I’m madly in love with these Teva water-friendly sneakers. They’ve got “I like splashing in puddles” written all over them. They have the heart of a Converse with the soul (sole?) of a Teva. If you’re normally prancing around town in your Chuckies but hate the feeling of wet feet (and the inability to climb mountains), these bad boys will get the job done. Love, love, love.
