Tech Spotting: “Reading Rainbow” May Come Back As An App

The lovable PBS show Reading Rainbow may be coming back in app form.

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, “Reading Rainbow” played a large part in your childhood – unless of course you grew up with no television, in which case I feel sorry for you. “Reading Rainbow” ran for 26 years on PBS. The show was great because it was innocent, informative and encouraged kids to read books. Although the show was last aired in 2009, “Reading Rainbow” still holds a special place in my heart – and I’m not the only one. LeVar Burton, the show’s lovable host is looking to bring the show back. Yay! According to Mashable, Burton wants to bring the show back in app form but wasn’t specific about the details. Whatever the case, I can’t wait to download the app to my phone!
