Every morning I wake up to NY 1’s Pat Kiernan (@patkiernan), the Canadian-born news anchor that’s more important than any hockey team to me. I sit and sip my tea as he rattles off the news, what’s in the newspapers, and general New York happenings. His steady role in my bedroom life makes him the next Twitterello for us (we’ve only had Twitterellas prior to this, so adding the “o” seemed a natural fit).

Pat can’t get enough of the news, and he breaks it to us in a real man-kinda way. No non-sense, no hype, just hard-hitting journalism (like TheLuxurySpot.com, but with less sex, fashion, and food). And, surprisingly, the man has a fantastic sense of humor. He prides himself on signing autographs, “I enjoy our mornings together and hope nothing ever comes between us.”
You can find Pat eating the infamous “recession special” at Gray’s Papaya, dining at the swankier Mas Farmhouse, or people watching at Pastis in his free time. Don’t mistake him for just another New Yorker though, this Canadian has been eating Shreddies every morning for about 30 years and says he has no intention of quitting.
Something you didn’t already know: He thinks women should stick to short skirts and stay the hell away from gladiator sandals. We couldn’t agree more… *swoon*
…as always, you can find me at @brycegruber & @luxuryspot
