Congrats to plus size model Lizzie Miller and Glamour Magazine for finally showing the world that real women aren’t all  supermodel skinny!  According to Examiner.com, Glamour editor Cindi Lieve recieved endless emails with positive feedback on the photo, set to be featured in September’s issue.  The plus size model beared all her assets in an effort to show that she was comfortable in her own skin, no airbrushing or digital effects necessary.

We love the message that Glamour is sending, and we found some awesome Plus Size Swimwear that’s flattering for every shape and size.

  • I’m happy that she feels confident in her skin and I applaud her for stating it – but I don’t really need to see that much of anyone. I find this type of reportage really disingenuous considering that Glamour still uses very thin models and likely will never switch to showing this type of woman in their fashion editorials. Fashion is fantasy – I wish people would stop taking it so literally and accept it for what it is instead of doing these token stories than amount to nothing and really pander. If Glamour really means to make a difference by running a story like this – put the effort where it counts – in your fashion spreads – consistently.
