Finally, the day has come when SNL’s Weekend Update pretty much becomes a real show in the form of Late Night with Seth Meyers. Get excited because according to the NBC Entertainment chairman, Seth Meyers is “one of the brightest, most insightful comedy writers and performers of his generation.”
Seth will complete the fall portion of SNL, but will continue to work for Lorne Michaels when replacing Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. Michaels is executive producer of the show, and Seth seems to be pretty excited about it: “I only have to work for Lorne for five more years before I pay him back for the time I totaled his car,” he said.
