Sweet, Sweet Beauty

Written by Bryce

I love beauty products (as you may have noticed).  I love to play with exotic soaps, the smoothest eyeliners, most natural lotions, and all sorts of other fun stuff.  I’m super excited that I found a few new products.  Some you may have heard of, the others were flying under the radar, but you can’t afford to miss out on how fabulous they are.

I’ve decided that my new favorite bar soap for the guest bathroom in my apt is Beekman 1802’s Honey Bar. This bar is a big slice of heaven, looks super luxurious at the edge of a sink or big bathtub, and has a mildly sweet scent that anyone (man, woman, child) will absolutely adore because it’s made with all-natural honey.  Honey is a natural anti-bacterial cleanser, and the bar’s goat milk soothes and moisturizes even the most sensitive skin types.  There are NO chemicals in this bar which makes it especially great for the guest bathroom, you never know who has an allergy!  For $14.75, this bar will last you for weeks and weeks and weeks… and you’ll never get sick of it.

Another favorite for the guest bathroom is Weleda’s Skin Food. It’s natural formula incorporates extracts of Viola, Chamomile, and Calendula to soothe the skin and help repair everyday damage.  It’s great on elbows, knees, dry hands, or anywhere that’s especially in need of deep moisture.  It has no synthetic fragrances, colors, preservatives, or mineral oil.  That’s great news, because you can never be too careful!  $17 well-spent, because your guests will appreciate an all-natural product with a great European name.

weledaSpeaking of natural/eco beauty lines, I’m so excited to announce that L’OREAL introduced their appropriately titled “Bare Naturale” line of cosmetics.  I’ve basically fallen in love with their Gentle Mineral Enriched Eyeliner in “cocoa.”  The pencil is made entirely of natural wood, which means it easily decomposes.  Hooray for saving the Earth!  Plus, it’s just a great eyeliner from a company we all know and trust.  It’s under $10 and available at drugstores nationwide 🙂

  • Nice products! Weleda’s Skin Food is amazing. I’ve been using their products (esp. their lip balm) for years. And for skin I’d also recommend Soft and Beautiful products–I went to their Bond Over Beauty event at the Essence Music Festival and fell in love with their skincare goods.
