The Top 4 Things That Really Weird Me Out At Other People’s Houses

Written by Elizabeth Mitchell

You know when you go over to a new friend’s house and you’re all like, “WTF! I thought this person was normal?” Yeah, well, here’s my list of things that make me think those exact same thoughts.

You know when you go over to a new friend’s house and you’re all like, “WTF! I thought this person was normal?” Yeah, well, here’s my list of the top 4 things that make me think those exact same thoughts.

1. Giant Framed Selfies

Okay, it’s one thing to have a butt load of selfies on your phone (don’t be shy, I just took a pretty sweet one about 2 seconds ago), but do you really need to have a ginormous glamour shot of yourself trying to look all smexy hanging above the fireplace in your living room? I feel awkward every time it comes into my peripheral vision…

2. Weird Family Portraits

Speaking of creepy photos, that weird 90s family portrait your mom has so proudly displayed in her casa has GOT to go. Doesn’t she know how embarrassing this is for you and the entire family!?

3. A Ton Of Cats

I’m pretty much skeptical of anyone who owns a cat, but if you’ve got more than a few kitties running around, this sends off some serious alarm bells in my head. No one needs that many pets, and frankly, I feel very uncomfortable when they’re all hunching their backs and rubbing up against my leg and purring the way they do.

4. Tacky Lawn Statues

Need I say more? You know exactly the type of house I’m talking about, and it’s nottttt pretty (inside or out).
