Recently my internet pen-pal friend, Liz, introduced me to Swell.com. Although Swell’s fashions are mostly inspired by that California-surfer-girl-that’s-too-cool-for-school kinda attitude, they have a feature on the site that helps you narrow down fashions that might work for you. I obviously picked the “tragically chic” silhouette, because let’s face it: I’m a city chick, and I’m not 16.
You can imagine how psyched I was to find cute little dresses for under $20, like this black jersey dress for $19.50.
And I couldn’t beat the little booties for $80, bringing the grand total of this outfit to $99.50… I’ll probably shnazz it up a bit with some printed leggings (because it’s cold as hell in NYC), a chunky scarf, and some large stud earrings.
