Times Square Mosaics by Ariel Erestingcol

Artist, Ariel Erestingcol proves that you do not need to live in New York City to have a portrait of the big apple in your home.

Lets face if you are a New Yorker, I’m sure you can count on one hand the amount of times you’ve been to Times Square. Probably for a broadway show, or in my case picking up the kid I babysit from Dave and Busters. As much as we hate to admit it however, Times Square is the center of Manhattan for many tourists, so why not draw attention to it the same way we do the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or the Trevi Fountain in Italy?

CB2 is re-introducing a blast from the past with new artwork from Los Angeles based contemporary artist Ariel Erestingcol. A professional take on a favorite pre-school art class medium, iron-on Perler beads, Erestingcol’s series of limited edition hand-beaded mosaic artwork will be sold at CB2 store locations and online beginning Friday May 31st. The two limited edition pieces, “Times Square 2012” and “Time Square Taxi 2012,” are composed of over 5,000 beads each and are part of CB2’s new art program, Edition LMTD.

This hand-created artwork will be a hard-to-find item, with only 75 pieces of each design available to the public, retailing for $169 each, they are available online at CB2 here.
