Top 5 Ways to Decorate with Painted Trees

Written by Gary

Don’t be afraid to add extra touches, like birds or flowers.

Especially in New York, we are constantly thinking up ways to bring the outside in. Adding a decorative tree to your interior is the perfect way to add an organic element, while still keeping a modern vibe. All you have to do is find someone with enough artistic talent to pull it off; just don’t ply them with coffee or your branches may end up looking schizophrenic. Here are 5 ways to add nature to your decor a la’ painted trees.

Feel free to get conceptual. The trees don’t have to look like you plucked them straight out of an Alphabet City community garden.

Feel free to make a mural out of it. If you want a bolder effect, add as many trees as you dare.

Go 3D. Remember, this is an art piece so touches like paper flowers or interesting textures will create more interest.

Incorporate existing decor. Ever wondered how to properly stagger shelves on a wall? Create a backdrop for them with  a painted tree.
