Have you ever looked at your carry-on roller bag and thought: “It would be great if this luggage doubled as a vehicle?” Of course you have. I am pretty sure everyone has, especially when they are hoofing it around an airport in uncomfy shoes. But now the Swiss company Micro-Mobility, has actually gone ahead and made all our travel dreams a reality.
This thought actually occurred to me the other day in the San Francisco airport, when I was bitching silently about how big it was, and how few people-movers there were. Navigating through throngs of people is often hard enough without having to worry about dinging them with your rolling bag. The idea behind this invention is actually a pretty reasonable one. I can imagine zipping through the crowds of people foot-loose and fancy free, leaving old ladies in velour sweater sets in my dust.
The Micro Luggage scooter fits conveniently in overhead bins, and the handle retracts to be used either conventionally, or as a handlebar for your vehicle.
The only downside is that you will be “that girl” who is scooting around the airport either making everyone jealous, or looking like a total douche-bag. I honestly can’t decide. I think, however, that it’s a small price to pay to be on time for your flights for the rest of eternity.
